Hey everyone! It’s Alex this week with a Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta collection review ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ They’ve recently released a new product but I will not be reviewing it. I will be reviewing the Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Cleansing Wash, Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Deep Mist, Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Lotion and Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Deep Cream.

Sana Hadanomy Aquaplacenta series: (1) Cleansing Wash, (2) Deep Mist – toner, (3) Lotion – Moisturizer, (4) Deep Cream

All products in the collection claim to:

  1. Have no colorants, no mineral oils and are all patch tested.
  2. Contains “Aqua Placenta (placenta extract) 1000mg,” the luxurious moisturizing ingredient that produces beautiful skin.
  3. Contains 3 types of Hyaluronic Acids, Acerola Berry Extract and honey.
  4. Suitable for all skin types.
  5. Super moisturizing/hydrating/ aka your dry skin’s savior.

What are your favorite skincare products?

For the past few months my face has been really dry. Like serious mcnasty time (〃_ _)σ The Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Collection is supposedly SUPER hydrating so I thought, hey — why not try it out the whole collection? Each product in the collection claims to contain “Aqua Placenta (placenta extract) 1000mg, the luxurious moisturizing ingredient that produces beautiful skin“.

Okay, I know — WHAT THE HECK is aqua placenta? (◎_◎;) Sounds pretty creepy to me, haha! But I thought I’d overlook it since it’s supposed to be sooooooooooooooooooooooo moisturizing!!!

Promo pic for the series. (this review doesn’t cover the product on the left)

1. Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Cleansing Wash

Claim + Directions: Generous foam cushions soft skin. With Placental Protein, easily absorbed by skin. Take appropriate amount on the palms; add some water to form bubbles. Massage gently on face, and finally rinse with water.

Review: What attracted me to this cleansing wash was the fact that it contained this “amazing” moisturizing ingredient! Most face washes are not very moisturizing. In fact, most dry out my face. I figured a gentle moisturizing cleanser sounded awesome! After several uses, I am not sure if it actually moisturizes my face but I am sure that it does not dry out my face. It’s a great cleanser too.

2. Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Deep Mist

Claim + DirectionsMoisturizing mist, can be use after cleansing, bathing or make-up, leave skin instantly feel moisture boost. Directly spray onto the face at a distance of around 15cm. Then gently massage. Suitable for before and after shower, cleansing or makeup.

Review:  The first thing I noticed upon application was how lightweight it was. It felt almost like I was spraying water on my face! HOWEVER — I can assure you, it doesn’t act like water! I have sprayed this on my face before I apply makeup and it makes my skin so soft~ definitely preps my skin for makeup! (I do not use primer). I spray this on my face once before I apply my tinted moisturizer and once again after I have applied my tinted moisturizer.

3. Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Lotion

Claim + Directions: With essence, leave skin instantly feel moisture boost. Massage gently onto the face after cleansing. Recommended to apply at night before sleep.

Review: This is actually the odd one out of this collection. It is not bad by any means but it just smellsdifferently than the other products. It leaves a sticky feel so I do not recommend using it in the daytime but holy geebus this is super moisturizing.

So I use this right before I go to sleep. You know how your face gets a bit oily over night? WELL. This reduces that. The best example I can give of this product is that it acts like a barrier and keeps the moisture in.

4. Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Deep Cream

Claim + Directions: All in one moisturizing cream, leave skin instantly feel moisture boost. After toning, apply an appropriate amount onto face.

Review: This is actually the least unique item in the collection. It’s a good deep cream (a little goes a long way!) and does what it advertises but it reminds me of other deep creams I have tried in the past. This is a good product, just nothing special.

Overall review of the collection:

  • Pro: All 4 products absorbed into my skin quickly.
  • Pro: All 4 products are extremely hydrating. I recommend this for everyone but I most specifically recommend this collection for people with combination skin and/or oily skin.
  • Pro: All 4 products do what they claim to do!
  • Pro: Great during the night time. Wake up with smooth + hydrated skin and without an oily face!
  • Pro: Pleasant scent with the exception of the lotion which smells a bit weird but I can overlook it
  • Pro: Affordable and the collection is a good size
  • Con: Too “thick” to apply during the day time (especially in the summer!). I would just use the mist in the morning.

(1) Night view at subway station, (2) My continued obsessions, (3) KimBAP!
